These people should be ashamed , they lie to you relentlessly and the product they sell you they don't tell you it's plastic door frames, window frames,baseboards, crown molding, that the cabinets are put together with staples etc..they tell u it's built like a house, RUN IS MY ADVICE

We purchase a home from Clayton then in Alvarado Texas, it is a new model never built before, from the time www started the process was nothing but a nightmare, we found the land to place the home on, Clayton Corporate is collecting out royalty check from a gas well but according to the State of Texas and the County we own the rights, the fight is still on, also the screwed us out of 23k for foundation work that was not prepare and installed correctly, the appliances that came with the house was wrong they never corrected it, the water heater was to be 50 gallon they installed a 40, the workmanship is horrible, not to say had to have relevelled 4 times to the tune of over 6k, The manager at the office was a crook they finally fire him, never again I had to do 1 star there in not a zero

Clayton homes has been very good to us. We special ordered our home & just like it was promised, it arrived on time. They have answered all questions and made our buying experience a great one. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Clayton Homes, for everything that you have done for my family. We adore our new home!

Our buying experience was great. Opal Nobles was our sales person. She was not pushy, and she gave us everything we ask for, she didn't have a problem making changes to our home. My family is having to live separate right now all I do is cry we can’t get approval even tho his boss gave him a raise and he took me off his insurance so we can have a home we gross 1,0000 more a month now and we still can’t get approval. I purchased a home from Clayton Homes in Porter Tx. It went as well as can be expected with a large purchase. Any issues that did come up were dealt with to my satisfaction promptly. I would and have recommended them to friends. Chip May was very attentive to our needs. You can't expect everything to be perfect but nothing was a deal killer. I would buy from them (him) again.

Jason who works at Clayton homes in Roxboro has treated us the best. He updated us through the whole process and he was on the ball! He got everything lined up and moving. And since being in the home he has responded to everything we've contacted him about and got someone to get right on it. We couldnt have asked for better service. My 91 year old mother purchased a Clayton Home from Rosenberg, Texas. We actually stopped there by accident, Hunter was our sales rep and he is wonderful. Very easy to work with never pressured my mother and help with suggestions. We looked at 2 or 3 floor plans and decided on the 1 bedroom 1 bath. My mom loves her new home it is just perfect for her. We had a porch built on and Clayton Home's obtained the contractor to build the porch. The contractor was great did a good job and we all love it. My son purchased a Clayton Home from Rosenberg, Texas shortly after my Mother did with Hunter as his sales rep too. My family is very impressed with the profession service we received. We purchased our home in June of 2017. It was ready for move in november. Everybody that worked on the house was courteous and professional. My wife commented on how nobody talked down to her when she had questions about the house. The branch that we went through in evans had an amazing staff. Justin helped us with well, permits, and everything else needed for the build. We live in the middle of noware and the house has stood up fine in 80+ mph winds. Didnt lose shingles or siding and very little movement on the house in the wind.

I purchased a Norris freedom in Dickson TN. I could not ask for a better home and sales and service staff. Each individual went above and beyond making sure the home was right...... They made sure it was home!

We bought our home from Clayton in Dunn. We had a wonderful experience with Charlie, Kathy, Michelle could not ask for a staff that was as professional and honest as they were did everything they said they would do. The guys that came out to set everything up and get the inside right they were all professional as well and did an excellent job. we have a Clayton homes build and set up and a few years later it is coming apart at the marriage seam. I can not get anyone to return my phone calls. I have left message after message at the main office. I don't know what else to do, i thought i was buying a well built home and wanted it to last for years since it was a big investment.

My mother in law just purchased one of the so called cost efficient homes from these folks and what a joke. She is on the phone everyday asking for them to fix the long list of stuff that is wrong with no response yet. Pretty pathetic customer service. Would not recommend clayton homes at all!!!!

Staff was very outgoing and nice. Offered snack foods like bananas, honey crisp apples, oranges and mints. If I could work and I didn't live so far away, I would love to work here.

How are you doing I have purchased a home from Clayton Homes and Sweetwater we have paid $62,000 for them to install the house septic tank cleaned a lot put in electricity House has been sitting there for seven weeks now the loan company is telling me that I have to make my first payment on the first because they have already paid them for the house I have been arguing with him since the house coming in on his lot there was nothing wrong with it he moved it a few miles from his place to a man and I have walls ceilings sheet rock vinyl siding roof screen doors shutters damaged on the house and this was all because when he went to cut the driveway in They cut a 14 foot opening for a 16 foot trailer I have told him and purchased a new home not a damaged home they got paid for a new home and I would like to have a new home not a fixer-upper and there’s more to the story and photos to where they have put me in a flood zone I would like for somebody to come and take a look at what I’m talking about see if we can get this fixed Thank you for you time And I wanna apologize to you because I cannot read or write that well so if something misspelled please read between the lines
It is not right for me to buy a brand new home and have it all up the way it is and they tell me I have to take it because it’s already paid for I thought I take out a loan for home and they changed it to a personal loan Can we get the County building inspector somebody come in Chester sold to make sure the foundation is right because I could take an A pole about 8 foot long and I stick about 4 foot of it in the ground where they said they have packed the dirt I have a septic tank that they put in for three weeks now has not Drained water is still in a puddle

Sent from my iPhone I have damage all over the vinyl siding where they have when it into the trees they tried to put a 16 foot trailer and a 14 foot hole inside the trailer is got several walls that are busted three ceilings are cracked y’all have got a pay for this trailer it’s been sitting this way for seven weeks now the vinyl side was not put on properly I believe with all the damage that you need to be removed and a new trailer put in his place it was not damaged on when you delivered it on his lot it was when he He delivered it on the land that he didn’t make sure the driveway was cut out that he got paid for I paid for a new trailer not one that needs to be fixed up

Worst customer service EVER! Horrible work by employees. Will never recommend. Will continue to be “that customer” until issues are resolved.

From the first day we moved into our new home last May 2018, it has been nothing but issue after issue after issue with it. Although I will and highly commend the fellows that are sent out to fix the issues we report, as being true professionals thru and thru. I have nothing but high praise for them alone; not the facility where the home was built. The quality; or rather the lack of on our home; which we went $145k in debt for; is too much to describe in this review. Hell, I could have built a better stick home for less money and with no where near the quality issues we have seen and experienced with this Clayton Home!

My Trailor was poorly constructed. It is 3 years old and I have MOLD in my ceiling. My roof leeks and has from the beging, no one wanted to come out and address the problems. So now the warranty is gone and I'm stuck with a roting home.

Lied to me took me 3 months to get my deposit back from the one in lebenon mo. Both mike grishom and austin have customer service issues. Tried to hand me an Envelope with no cancelation stamp from the post office telling me it had been returned to them and they couldnt get a hold of me....i had threatened to bring police and a lawyer ....check eas dated 6/18.today is 6/28. Been lied to since end of april!! Call corp headquarters...got lipservice. Done ....i will not buy a thing from their companyEVER

Gave them $13,000.00 over a year ago. Salesman told me to go pound sand. They screwed up my homesite so bad that they couldn't fix it so they just kept my money. Lawyer said it would cost me $10,000.00 to get my money back.

Our purchase fell through 2 months ago. Clayton dropped the ball on my refund. I've been calling and emailing for 2 and a half weeks now requesting my refund only to get the run around about my check not coming in, being lost. Now they have it, but won't send it to me. I'm really tired of this nonsense. They have no right to keep my money nor to hold it hostage. I shouldn't have to meet them in person, which is 2 hours away. They should be sending it to me in the mail immediately!!

I've read what alot of people in theses previous reviews have said and fully agree Clayton is the worst. You spend so much money for really good quality and it's very cheap everything. We got our home from Clayton in Florence barely a yr ago and have had nothing but issues. Once they put our home down we had alot of stress cracks, leaks under sinks and our shower, electric stopped working on half our kitchen, HVAC problems, mismatched siding, our hallway wall is bowed in which can never be fixed, and now roofing issues they don't seem to want to fix. I strongly advice anyone not to buy home from Clayton because their homes are cheaply made, I know we wished we hadn't of dealt with them since all they've done is lie to us. It's terrible that $150,000 for a poorly constructed home. They just want to take your money and when you call to get repairs done you have fight to get them done. After all they only have one repair man!! So buyer please PLEASE beware of what you are buying you will get screwed big time!!

I purchased a "quality " Clayton home in Sept, many delays and problems, Didn't get to move it till a few days before Christmas. Have called both quality control at the factory, no return calls, and corporate twice , no return calls. The whole inside was slapped together, poor workmanship throughout, repairs are ongoing, and I am having to nag about everything. Giving it 2 stars as still have hope that problems will be resolved. Anything not immediately not visible is either not done or done exceedingly poorly. Cheap paint, fiberboard baseboards, the cheapest handles on everything. Sinks etc. The lowest of the lowest end on the appliances. I did not purchase the low end. I purchased a custom wide single wide. I did a fair amount of upgrades. Still have plaster falling from walls, and paid for a bricked in under skirt, they only bricked part way, leaving an 8 inch gap between the brick and the frame of the home, which they then covered with an uninsulated facia board they call a belly band. I purchased this home from this company because they were supposed to be the best.

Gave me the run around time and time again customer service is a 1 out of 10 wouldnt never buy from here again or recommend anyone else to for that matter shop elsewhere

I would never promote someone buying a manufactured home thru the lot located in Decatur, Al...we bought our home almost a year ago and still do not have everything fixed...they even put in the wrong color carpet in our 2,000 square foot home and basically were told we had to accept it and given $500 to replace a whole house of carpet! Where in the hell can you get that much carpet for $500!! after several escalated phone calls and no one fixing what was wrong the GM for the lot was replaced yet we are still getting the same BS excuses...we paid almost $100,000 for our home and it's no better than a second hand aparment on the bad side of town...just bigger. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Pretty much the worst experience on buying a new home. I rather have built one myself for my mother notthing but problems. I feel they took advantage of of my elderly mother, promise her that there was a warranty on the home. My mother was stuck without a hot water heater for 2 months and they pushed her off until a year came up for the manufacturer warranty and now I have to pay it out of my pocket. Rats came in through the vents and the plumbing. your installer failed to properly seal the bottom of the home and now it's summertime and why is there cold air blowing through the light switches

They do not even deserve a one star rating. These people at the office in Mount Airy, NC, lied to me from the get go. My construction costs went from $25,000 up to $33,000, and then up to $49, 900. They told me if I could find licensed and insured contractors to do any of the jobs cheaper, then we could hire them, Well, I did just that. Then they came back and told me they couldn't work with the licensed and insured vendors that I had found because they couldn't trust them. I have wasted over a month of my time with these lying crooks. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

This company is the WORST!! My mom and I, have had the absolute WORST home buying experience. They took care of us in the beginning until we handed over money, and then we got treated like dirt. We constantly made phone calls to get answers, and no one would return our calls. We sent emails, that got left unanswered for a couple weeks. Then once the home was delivered W-5 decided to place the home right up next to shed that was already there. In the shed were the trash cans that were full to the top. NO ONE offered to get them out for us, or even take responsibility. When W-5 put up the awnings, they left screws everywhere on top of metal shavings on the ground. The home was done half ass job. They basically rushed to get it done. I have been in the home since July, and i already have 2 leaks. Still till this day trying to communicate with ANYONE from the Grand office in Glendale, AZ is Impossible. They even shorted me $500 on a check that was promised. Stay away!

I have had nothing but problens with my home. If ii knew this I could have bought a new home with less problrems for what paid for this. Floors in living room and kitchen make noise like an old house. Doors keep coming off cabinets. Linoleum is showing places where subfloor comes together, counter tops coming loose, now bathtub has a crack and water flow to shower head is not working correctly. This trailer was ordered in less than two years ago. Keep teling me going to take care of problems.
