I bouught a villa in Sapphire NC and the management company told me they would cover all repairs on the exterior services of my unit as stated by the covenants. When I gave them the list the board of directors came to my unit and told me I got a good deal on my unit and they would not pay for anything. I had a laywer write a letter reminding them of their responsibilities as stated in our coventants and they still refussed to pay for any repairs which included the bottom part of a wood door rotting through. I paid and had the door replaced after waiting 10 months and deducted the ammount from my $5,600. fees. They placed a lien on my property with the help of Ms. Dunnuck. She stated in the lien that the covenants said I had to pay my fees but ingored the part that the covenants that clearly stated the responsibilites of the board. How can an officer of the court use one part of a legal document but ignore the rest. There is no governing agency againset my board but I am filing a grievance with the North Carolina bar on her. She should know the law and uphold it.
