I've been going to Hunan for over 30 years and i've never had a bad experience there. They have a very courteous staff and wonderful food. I can say that it is my favorite restaurant around. I'd eat there every day if I could. <3 <3 :)

They get one star only because it was clean and they were nice. The food is absolutely horrendous. Seriously, drive anywhere else if you want Chinese food. Lacking any flavor other than extreme saltiness. Overcooked or mushy. I honestly could have cooked better in my own kitchen.

Very disappointed in take out lunch. Ordered shrimp and Chinese vegetables. Price was reasonable. Figured out why when I saw what I was got. Large helping of rice, 5 shrimp, and all cabbage! Very bland, no flavor. And wonton soup so bad I gagged as I spit it out in the trash can! Owner claims variety of vegetables with dinner menu. Not sure I will be back however!

Even though it was past lunch and we were the only family there at the time he had the kitchen cook what we wanted if not on the buffet and not a single one of us, 5, had to wait for refills because he stayed on top of everything. Best in Newport by far!!!!!!#1#1#1

The order was an egg drop soup, 2 egg rolls, small white rice and a pork fried rice. This is th standard lunch order for my husband and I and we have never paid over $11.00 for it...until now, $16.00 plus. The soup had too much salt, the egg rolls were just the same old frozen kind and the pork fried rice while okay, was dry.
