loved drag racing here as well, @ 1983 84, we used to run our bikes etc out here, was a guy named jimmy rester that had the most bad azz racer in jacksonville ever!

I grew up in Wilmington back when it was still a nice little coastal town. We used to drag race on this old air strip back in the early 80's. There was NOTHING out there then and you had to know just where to turn across 17 to get in. Who remembers Clint Runyan's 6-Pack Road Runner?
