I had a crazy situation on my hands, and I knew it was going to be a hail mary kind of play, but I had to do something. Mr. Williams explained my options, and we came up with a battle plan. A year later we emerged with a win. Like many things you are going to get what you put into it, and I devoted a lot of time to putting together evidence, and keeping a detailed timeline of events. While all my work contributed to the ultimate victory, I couldn't have realized that victory without the legal work and counsel offered by Spooner and Assoc. Mr William's was at all times professional, and courteous, yet personable and sympathetic. It was a true pleasure to have had him as my counsel for what was the most difficult situation I have ever been in, and hope never to be in again.

My family had a great experience with this firm during our time of need. Dwight Williams was attentive, compassionate, and worked diligently to accomplish the best outcome possible. The firm itself was understanding and helpful regarding our financial needs. I definitely recommend Dwight Williams and this firm if you are in need of representation

In March, I hired Ashley Pepitone to handle my custody modification. As the custodial parent in a very complicated situation, I was nervous and scared. I believe your lawyer can only be as good as you are honest (about your situation). Ashley listened to the specific details of my case, stayed invested, genuinely cared, offered appropriate legal advice, and did a very good job managing my expectations. She never promised to do anything but her best. She was quick to respond to emails and calls, was always more than prepared for court, and most importantly, I felt like she was invested in the outcome for the sake of the children rather than for her own personal gain. That is all you can ask for of a family law lawyer.

The process of getting divorce is unpleasant and painful, no matter what. Andrew Desautel of Spooner and Associates made the divorce process as painless as possible. He was very responsive and accessible He guided me through the maze, and always answered my questions. I appreciate his good work in a difficult situation.

Scott Spooner recently handled my divorce case. Scott and his staff were very professional, informative and responsive during a very stressful time. Eventhough the marriage only a few years, the divorce became very complicated and difficult. Scott guided me through all the curve balls that were thrown at me thoughout the process. Scott also coordinated with my business attorney, Andy Morgan, with regard to business law issues during the case. I would highly recommend Scott and his staff.

I came to Spooner & Associates, scared, worried, and under the threat of loosing custody of my 2 year old daughter after my spouse had filed a civil lawsuit preventing me from seeing her. Upon finding out my ex spouse was seeing a convicted child molester, I was counseled to file a emergency custody hearing, admitt to violating a restraining order, in order to force a paternity test and prove my intent to be in my child's life. Although it was a drastic measure, it would go a long way in establishing my rights as her father and formalizing my custody.

At every turn, my ex's attorney out smarted, out gunned, and bullied my attorney with false accusations, intimidation, and even charging me with a TPO violation after returning my daughter to daycare an hour after a noon deadline (due to the daycare administrator wanting me to return her after nap Time). My attorney went on paternity leave and all hell broke loose. Including the fact that they never even knew of the violation charge. When Mr Spooner, not my attorney, was made aware that I had informed my family (per my attorneys advice) not to contact my spouse and that I was violating the TPO in part just to force paternity. The opposing attorney claimed that in that email I claimed that Spooner had unethically advised me to break the law. So did Scott Spooner stand by me and defended their client? Not at all. After almost $6,000 dollars in fees, he filed a motion to withdraw as my counsel without the attorney assigned to my case even back from paternaty leave.

No explaination and no response to emails and voice mails, they dropped me cold and without any recourse. In fact, it took over a week (a week that I was a nervous wreck by the way) before my attorney finally called me with an unofficial apology for Spooner dropping me as a client and an unofficial action plan that included unofficially filing a motion that was already supposed to have been filed. Honestly, I believe the only reason I got that call was out of what I think was guilt and an attempt to for my attorney, who was a good person, to be able to sleep at night. Unethically and cowardly leaving me to battle the false charges alone and now 6 thousand dollars poorer. If your looking for an attorney to fight for your rights, to defend you no matter what, and to always choose justice over monetary gain or risk, then this firm is not for you.

It is my opinion, that they are rotten all the way to the core - the core being Scott Spooner himself. My advice is run for the hills if you happened upon their phone number. My spouses attorney, who charged one sixth the price (we are back together) out smarted this firm at every turn. For my money I got two stints in jail, one official filing and one unofficial filing and a "don't let the door hit you on the way out as they cashed my check".

The only sentence that rang true for me from their website was this:

'The attorney or law firm you choose can affect the amount of time you spend in court, your experience in handling your legal issue, and even the outcome of your case. It is our objective for each case to be resolved quickly and effectively."

Unfortunately this sentence was not intended for the client but in my opinion - it was directed completely at what benefited themselves and their own interests. Definitely a firm that exists only because a sucker is born every minute. Ashamed, I was just another sucker for them to take advantage. They are why attorneys have such a bad reputation. Shame on them.

Dodie Rosenberg represented me in my divorce case. From day one she was patient and attentive while assisting me in every step of building my case. As a result of her great work and preparation, I have full joint custody of my daughter which is exponentially more valuable than the reasonable amount of money I paid for her excellent work. Words can't express my gratitude.
