My case was handled very professionally and timely. I was informed of every step in the process and never had any doubt my case was getting the best attention it could. She was the most responsive attorney I have ever had experience with. I was recommended to come here through a friend and would do the same.

I can not say I know Heather Todd personally but what I perfectly knew at the moment of my experience I would never ever work with her.

I was lawyer hunting in order to obtain help for my personal case so I decided at least I would go see three different lawyers to listen to their opinions about my case so I could make a better decision.

My wife and I share the responsibility of raising our 2 year old together while both working with very busy schedules so we make sure we always plan ahead.

I had personally called and spoke with the assistant in this office in both English and Spanish, so there is no doubt in my head we could have had been dealing with a communication issue or misunderstanding.

I coordinated an appointment with this office one week ahead of time, receiving even a phone call the day before to reconfirm the meeting since i live in Dawsonville Georgia and needed to drive about one hour to get to Dekalb, not only with my wife but also with our two year old.

After we arrived on time for the coordinated meeting , we were surprised to be asked for a $75 fee for the consultation, which of course lawyers have the perfect right to charge for their time and services and it is very understandable that some do and some do not.

There is absolutely no doubt in my head that I was never told or previously informed about the consultation fee because obviously I would have brought the money with me and not decided to drive two hours with my family just for fun.

For personal reasons, we do not use any cards and did not carry the cash at the moment to pay for a $75 consultation so we explained it to the assistant, since we figured we were going to discuss for a service worth at least a few thousand dollars, it never crossed our minds it would ever be an issue, considering also the fact that her office came highly recommended from a personal friend of mine and had not been told about the consultation fee.

We were shocked when the assistant went into her office to see if she could see us, considering the one week coordination plus the one hour drive and the fact that I was there not only with my wife but also my 2 year old girl, and were told by the assistant that Heather Todd would not honor the meeting and we should leave and come back with the $75 consultation fee.

I am a Georgia Tech and Georgia State graduate with an MBA in international business and have been involved in international trade, exports and imports for more than 20 years and have personally worked with lawyers not just in the United States but all over the world for personal and business cases, yet I had never seen such poor business practice and lack of ethics, so I felt i had to leave this review so it may will not happen to someone else. It is an understatement I do not expect any reply or apology because obviously i have already made my mind on who i am dealing with, but just strongly feel is very important for professionals in general, not just lawyers, that they understand very well that nobody has the right to play with other peoples time, money and effort.
