I called Attorney Hartnell to discuss the estate of my second cousin in Big Bear, California. At this point I am not represented by any Attorney so I thought I could speak to him regarding this matter. I was treated very poorly by Mr. Hartnell and in our conversation Mr. Hartnell has told me that the "community holds my reputation as dishonest and disrespectful" and I have "5 or 6 court cases" in my past. I put my phone on speaker and asked my staff to listen and asked Mr. Hartnell to repeat what he said. He repeated those statements again and also said I was involved with my cousin's case "...simply to get my hands in the money". My three friends were witness to his remarks. When I told him I was going to make a complain with the California Bar Association and the District Attorney he laughed and said "a lot that will do". The statements he made have also been made to other people in the community and are now being used against me and my family in Facebook posts, letters and other public places. My company works within the probate area of business. I work as an estate sale company with several probate Lawyers, Universities, and businesses. My family company has been in business for 60 years in the Inland Empire coming this January. Mr. Hartnell's attacks and false statements are harming my business and reputation. I've made the proper complaints with the California Bar Association, documented the quotes he made with my friends and took the necessary images from the Internet sites. I question is what should I do now?
