I hired Howington and associates to handle my case, I noticed very early on they burn rate on hours where disproportion to work provided. I terminated the relation they found a way to stick me for another $2000 with no justification. Oddly we were able to find another attorney who handled our matter for $1,500. My bills from Howington were over $15k. If you want to be billed for services not rendered he's your guy if not I suggest finding someone else.

Only that they are some of the most helpful and caring professionals that I've come across.
From day one, he made us feel that we could do something about the problem at hand. A problem that I never in my life thought there was anything that could be done about it. Yet, with his professional experience and his caring mannerism, plus without trying to sell me anything he couldn't deliver, we went forward on this journey to try to reverse a situation that because of my ignorance and lack of people around me that could've given me some guidance at the time of my divorce, now it seemed to be something irreversible.
I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Howington and everyone at his office. They not only look out for their clients but they also personally care for them as if one knew them forever.
In regards to his professional experience, one only has to step into his offices and see all the awards and recognitions that he has earned throughout his career. Year after year, Top Ten Attorneys in California, Most Ethical Attorneys in the State, etc., Just to name a few. And I know that those awards are not just plaques on a wall, for him they're a bagde of honor, because that's the kind of person he is.

Definitely would recommend him because I know they do the same for all their clients. I have already personally recommended him to all our family and friends. He not only did a great job for us but on top of only charging me about one third of what opposing counsel charged the other party in the case, I'm getting a balance returned to me from his fees.

Mr. Howington and his associate Mr. Foster gave my losing case so much attention that they were able to turn it into a win. This review is entirely the result of my personal experience and client relationship with Mr. Joseph Howington and his Staff. I retained the service of Howington and Associates on the stellar recommendation from a close family friend for whom Mr. Howington had most successfully litigated both divorce and child custody for. Both he an an additional close family member had phenomenal success in cases that were to say the least, messy. I was advised by this person, with whom I share implicit trust; that in the matters of family law there is simply no one else to call on for assistance. I have since come to understand that this advice was in no way exaggerated. Mr. Howington is in my humble opinion, a great man. His knowledge of the law is at the very top of his industry. Heather Morgan-Soriano is the most rude and unprofessional paralegal at this office. She filed my response late, made half of my declaration up and i couldn't even get a call back from her. I was charged A LOT of money for Mr Howington to lead me on the entire case, just to show up 2 hrs late (both court dates) to know next to nothing about my case, and only to tell me i should agree and "it's not that bad." He agreed in court to lies that the other party stated about me and i would NEVER recommend using this office to represent you. In all, i paid for these people to lose my case for me.

I made an appointment for a consultation and waited over an hour once I got there. Nobody has time for that. Could have called to say it would be late. Worst part was dog hair all over the waiting area. I'm allergic to long haired dogs.

I would not recommend hiring any of the attorneys at Howington & Associates. My case was passed around between Joseph, Ariel, and Sana. Important filing deadlines were missed and nothing ever got accomplished. It's hard to say if they are money hungry or just unorganized. Either way it was a very expensive mistake hiring Joseph Howington. I had to hire a new lawyer at the last minute.

I would suggest another Attorney other than Ariel. Very Rude and unprofessional and can not return a call in a timely manor.

I am posting this for a friend of mine, who consulted the services of Howington and Associates, we both were absolutely appalled at the unprofesionalism with which the staff handled her case. They constantly lost documents and as a result the client (my friend) had to, multiple times mind you, resubmit paperwork. Mr. Howington would say he was going to do something and then change HIS mind (without consulting his client). My friend had more issues with this lawyer & firm than with the opposing counsel and her husband... Howington & Associates, APLC brings the term "bloodsucking lawyers" to life.
