My husband & I hired Sam Baumer about 2-3 years ago to fight for our Cancellation of Removal case. I would say we knew a little about immigration court, but honestly I don’t know anyone who knows everything about it, that’s why you hire an attorney. Sam explained everything to us, he even dumbed things down so we could better understand. We definitely didn’t speak attorney lingo and he unquestionably made sure we understood everything. He even translated everything to Spanish to make sure my husband really understood too! Him and his staff (shout out to Samantha & Gaby) were EXTREMELY helpful and supportive through the whole process! They were all very professional and at the same time relatable and understanding! Attorneys are expensive and no one wants to pay for an attorney, but its more or less an investment on your future. Sam let us make payments and that was tremendously helpful! They also accepted payment in different forms; check, cash, debit, credit, & even Zelle! They always listened to our concerns and addressed anything that came up. They went above and beyond to make sure everything that we needed to best represent our case we got. They never missed a detail! Anytime we had court, we always met up with Sam a few days prior to the court date. This way he could explain to us what to expect, anything we needed to bring, time of arrival, what to wear, clarification of where to go…etc. Sam was always on time and dressed to impress each and every court date! In court, he was very professional and respectful when addressing anyone in court. Whenever court would end, me and my husband wouldn’t initially always understand everything that happened in court. Sam would take the time and explain what happened and what to expect moving forward. Sadly in February 2019 my husband was picked up by Homeland Security and our case turned for the worst. Sam and his team did not give up on our case. Sam continuously went to court dates with us ( which was about 6-7 more times than expected), he even went to the jail where my husband was detained. He kept communication extremely open, and was very sympathetic for my husband being incarcerated. My husband after being detained for 2.5 months was finally granted his 42B case. Luck was definitely not on our side, in fact there was little hope for our case. I was getting ready for reality that my husband was going to get deported to Mexico. The only reason we won, was because of Sam Baumer & his team. They continuously thought of new strategies and new documents we could give to our judge to better support our case. Sam always made sure that our judge heard every element of our case, never missing anything any detail. We will forever be grateful to Sam & his team for the amazing job they did with our case! It is a personal commitment from him and his staff when I met him. He would call and remind me regarding the various meetings with the Immigration (USCIS) and what documents to take with us.
