It can be scary when going through a legal process at work with an employer, because any move has to be strategic. Jonathan and his team provide actionable legal advice once retained, and act very quickly in responding to cases. I personally heard from him the very same day after writing an email the preceding evening. I would expect a one to two day turnover for consultations, which is comparably fast. I like that they do have an attitude that they will fight for you; they're not just going to give up like some employment law firms I've interviewed. My one issue is that they are pretty forceful about providing Google and Yelp reviews. I would prefer if it were completely optional to leave a social network review. I like to know that I have a personal relationship with the professionals I work with.

Although we ultimately won't be moving forward on my claim, I want to share my experience. I spent the better part of two weeks contacting so called labor lawyers who all tried to sign me to a retainer for them to be paid to send my employer a letter. He is wicked smart, excellent at explaining things and breaking them down in latent terms, and his level of kindness/dedication when your life is likely in stressful disarray (if you're contacting an employment attorney, it usually is!) ...is unparalleled.

Ultimately, Jonathan will not be representing me in the matters with which I’m currently dealing and yet despite the fact that he wasn’t profiting from our communications he was in regular contact with me while evaluating my complex case/situation. Even after we decided that my particular situation was better suited for an attorney with a different specialization, he remained available to me and - on his own time and for no personal gain - still continues to answer my questions/provide me with insight and informal advice/guidance to better equip me to make big decisions (such as whether or not to pursue directly with the labor board or to retain an attorney - such as a friend of his whom he also suggested for me.) My situation may not necessarily require an attorney. Regardless, I cannot responsibly make the decision about whether or not to retain an attorney...without input and a slight bit of guidance from one. I want to thank the whole staff from the bottom of my heart. I know that my case wasn't easy and I am so happy to have picked this labor law firm. Their name says it all.. Employees First. Throughout the process my former employer continued to harass me. They contacted me. They tried to contact my new employer. And each time Mr. LaCour would put them in their place. If you are in a situation and need guidance, this is the law firm to go to. My ex boss slandered my name and said I was a terrible employee for asking for so called accommodations.
