Mr George Hill is The Most unprofessional and inconsiderate attorney I've ever Dealt with. Called him back as he directed after code enforcement inspected my rental but he never returned my call. What happened to my one free letter per year that's supposedly covered by my membership fees ??? This entire firm is a Jike and they wouldn't be in business if not for the membership fees they charge hard working citizens. Don't Be Scammed by the D Student Attorneys...

I was referred to this firm by LegalShield. After waiting roughly 6 days I finally heard from the attorney who was supposed to review a contract I received. The attorney, Ian Stanbury was not only very unprofessional but he was not thorough at all. Fortunately, I had the contract reviewed by a very reputable firm beforehand but since I paid the fees for LegalShield I figured I'd get their opinion on the documentation as well. The attorney told me it was a standard contract and it was ok to sign but as I asked more questions about the nature of each section, he retracted his statement and said "obviously this isn't the final version you should sign." Since when has a contract sent by an employer ever been a rough draft? He was assuring me that while working with the company, their intellectual property would be protected as well as mine based on a particular section described in the contract which is supposed completed by the employer. When I directed him to the section in question, he stated, "yea you would need to contact the employer and have them fill this out." Shouldn't that have been something you caught upfront as a professional before advising me to sign? When I asked him repeatedly his opinion on the contract if any red flags stood out, would my IP be protected, is everything correct according to Cali law, is it complete because myself along with the other firm I was working with noticed many discrepancies....his initial response was....."yea everything looks fine, just a standard contract....YEA OK smh...moral of the story is, number one, you get what you pay for, and two, always have a second opinion.

Terrible service. Sent details of a problem that needed to be resolved. Never got back to me for 5 days. Had to call 3 times to get a response. Eventually settled my problem with landlord before I got response from this attorney

I was really hesitant about how to post this review because I am a LegalShield member first but I also am a LegalShield rep who recommends different law firms for my family friends and new acquaintances. I was hesitant because often times when someone is invested in the company they will usually say good things about it and there review is biased. However I also don't feel it's fair to not say good things about a company if they honestly deserve it, and from the service that my customers and I have been given, I can't sit here and not say something.

I have a 7/10 experience once with the company, and all other times have been 9 or higher with this Firm. More importantly from speaking with my customer base they all have had a good experience and have even taken the time to call me to communicate that.

It's almost as if the firm knowsnthey have had bad reviews and do their damndest to make sure they leave their customers with a good experience.

I don't know who is reading this, what your situation is, or what your looking to get out of the service, so without knowing you or any of what you're dealing with here's what I would say, Try the service out with the right attitude. What I mean by that is if you go into anything looking for something wrong, or preconcieved you may uncover that but if you go in with a sober approach I think you'll be very impressed with this firm.

I was referred this law firm by Legal Shield. They often have phone lines or computers down. Then attorney will miss calls or calls, etc...
However, no one will tell you that these calls will be counted towards what can and may EXHAUST your membership. A practice LEGAL SHIELD HAS FOR PAYING MEMBERS WITHOUT ACCESS TO SERVICES PAID FOR.

It is a good membership when they offer the services. Otherwise, if you get a firm that does not care about the paid members, like Parker Stanbury, then #legalshield will not do anything to protect the members.

Also, the people making these decisions regarding your services and how they are rendered will never be in contact with you or allow an opportunity to remedy the issue.

In short, Parker Stanbury has the ability to EXHAUST Membership access at any point, WITHOUT WARNING, INDEFINITELY.

They really need to hire (or re-train?) a new receptionist....the girl/lady is super hard to understand and kinda rude and dismissive....its a shame because the firm is pretty good.

I have just moved and was connected with this group from Legal Shield. I spoke with two attorneys, Matthew May and James Wolfsen, on two different matters and each one was extremely personable and helpful. I did not feel rushed in having all of my questions answered. Moreover, I was called back in about 30 minutes. Given meetings, etc., I would not be upset if it took a few hours or so, but certainly was impressed none the less.

I read some of the reviews and certainly not to mitigate anyone's complaints, but it should be kept in mind that if you use this service a couple times a year then you will have paid for your membership, easily. In actuallity, one consult with an attorney would cost your yearly membership.

I recently had Davis Miles as my company in Arizona. I didn't have a good experience with some of them, while others I did. A mixed bag, but the bad was given bad advice which cost me $1000 in legal fees for taking someone to small claims that I shouldn't have. That said, you still need to be proactive in making sure that what is presented to you sounds good. Also, having a second opinion is within your right, so use it if need be. It's like having surgery, you should always get a second opinion. I was not aware of this at the time before filing with the courts. Lessons learned.

My regret is that they take their time getting back to you, even in urgent matters. And if they call you, but you aren’t able to answer at that minute, they feel like their responsibility is done. And it doesn’t matter how many times you call back, they won’t put you in touch with the attorney. They tell you to wait for another call back, and that the time clock for this 4-business hour guarantee call-back has now been reset.
It’s inefficient and frustrating.
I have Legal Shield membership and , unfortunately, have to use Parker-Stanbury for the law firm with the membership.

This is the FIRST time I've ever felt SADLY disappointed, even insulted, by an attorney's lack of communication and customer service abilities. My benefits package provides me with legal letters when requested and he actually stated, quote: "I need to tell you now that you're going to be disappointed by the letter I'm going to write for you...I don't even represent you so this letter is not going to sound the way you want it to..." BTW, HE NEVER EVEN WROTE THAT LETTER. Instead, he said, "Maybe you should get another lawyer..."
He wasn't even aware of the important dates in which my case involved (ie, he didn't really read the many documents I'd provided him). This was after I'd WAITED FOR 2 MONTHS for this letter..." He almost always interrupted me with short comments revealed by his rude mannerisms. What a major disappointment...

Good service years ago. Now, I get better service from legal aid. They refer you to contact other people because they don't know the law. Very arrogant and rude. I will be cancelling legal shield tomorrow morning.

I’ve had Legal Shield formerly Pre-Paid legal for over 20 years and it seems that the service provided by this California Law Firm is quickly going down hill.
After waiting several hours for a lawyer from Parker-Stanbury to call back I really received no help with my questions and instead of offering competent guidance he suggested I just higher a lawyer or escrow company to handle everything for me. At first he did not even take a bit of time understanding my first question and I had to carefully ask it a second time. Upon my insistence that I’d like clear information he proceeded to communicate information that was obviously intended to overwhelm by muddling relevant information with non-relevant or obvious information instead of competently explaining the rather simple process I’m attempting to find a bit of clarity with and again he offered to refer me to a lawyer. A quick search on the internet confirmed that at minimum one piece of information offered by him was completely incorrect. If their lawyers don’t care to really help I don’t care to continue using them. The only reason I’m not giving them one star is because the lawyer had a pleasant phone manner even if it did feel a bit patronizing.

These negative reviews are BS, they always come through.

Amazing service and amazing Law Firm!

Attorneys are not able to provide advice based on a professional understanding of the law. Many times I have felt that I was talking to a paralegal and not a real attorney. When I ask about the law, they seem irritated and anxious to get off the call. I am seriously thinking of canceling my membership!

The negative reviews are a bunch of bots. I have had this law firm through legalsheild for two years and counting and they had always come to my aid when I needed them. One lawyer was even ready to sue in one of my situations. They are very up front and will tell you if you have a case or not, that is life. But they always are there and helped me in my cases, especially with traffic tickets. I plan on moving out of state and I hope to still have them as my law firm if legalsheild allows me to because I like them that much.

Poor service and the lawers that i have talked to are very rude or dont know the law or both.. Would not recommend this law firm! This place is a complete sham!

I was referred to this place through LegalShield & was by far not happy with them, in fact ZERO stars would be more accurate. I contacted a guy named Mike online and he called me and assured me that I had a case against my institution, which treated me unfairly and lead me to suffer some severe emotional distress. After I paid Mike my LegalShield fees a Latino lawyer contacts me and after I explained my situation he proceeds to scold me about how I did not have a case. Remind you I was under severe emotional distress at this time and did not need to talk to someone so rude like him. So I called Mike back asking for my money back, he first apologized and told me that lawyer was probably new and would get me a better one but if I wanted my money back I needed to talk to customer service. So I gave them another shot, this time I got a Caucasian lawyer but instead of rude he sounded nervous and stuttered a lot. REALLY?! These two guys work for them???! He also told me he felt I had no case. So I finally asked LegalShield for my money back but only got a partial refund. I don't know how these companies are connected but all I did was waste money, time, and even a bit of my mental health which was pretty fragile around this time. I have since recovered emotionally, but if you're in the shoes I was once in needless to say I don't recommend them.

Parker-Stanbury services were hired through a Legal Shield membership. I was already skeptical and not expecting much but the service I received was substandard. I am giving them one extra star because the staff was courteous. They let you call them and they answer the phone but they don't do much for you. It takes 2-3 days to get a response from them and it is usually disappointing.

You guys rock my employer got scared.

Dreadful experience so far... I was assigned to this group by LEGALSHIELD in August & I have gotten absolutely zero service from any attorney whatsoever. I've called multiple times, sent emails etc & still have yet to hear anything from an attorney. It's been over a month & I haven't even talked to anyone with a law degree any of times I've called

They called me once, which got my hopes up, only to find out that they had put in the information wrong/perhaps not put in at all and needed it again. After I gave the info I was hoping to then get some help, but the girl just told me someone would follow up shortly.... no response. So I followed up & even scheduled an appointment and still got not call.
Followed up & they told me someone called but couldn't tell me a time &/or a # that would've called. I feel that any professional would make it a habit to leave voicemails if they would have actually called but I didn't have any missed calls or voicemails. So I called back and rescheduled, again no call....it's been almost a week now & each time I call in now after the first 2 missed appointments, they tell me "Let me see if they're available"... they haven't been 3 different times but then they promise "Someone will reach out to you by end of day"
I'm guessing anyone reading this can assume what happened.... No calls

ZERO STARS IF I COULD. As a landlord, I received a completely hostile, intimidating, over the top and bullying letter from this firm representing their client.The claims were so outrageous and untrue it border lined on something straight out of the "Better Call Saul" type dime store playbook. It constitutes classic illegal unethical behavior from a law firm. It did garner a stern reply from me and my own lawyer and deserved to be crumbled up and thrown into the trash where it belongs.
Never let deadbeat tenants or lawyers like this bully you if you are a landlords because they are breaking the law and can be brought up on harassment charges as well.

I am having an awful time getting the assigned attorney to respond to my issue. I was asked to email in documents. done. no response. I call daily he is either on another call, not accepting the e-mails that is staff sends requesting that he call me. Out of the office for 2 days and no one else can assist me. After complaining to his "clerk" Andrew he took my call and indicated he was going to pull my file and get back to me within 2 days ,Friday. I have not heard from Atty.Michael McCade. it's been almost 30 days since I started this process. I called and asked for another attorney and was told that this was assigned to McCade and he had to handle it. I have a court appearance in 3 wks. This is not the service I thought I would receive I have been a paid member for over 10 yrs. This stresses me on a daily basis.

I can't believe that people are panning this company for the rate you pay for Legal Shield! So far, they have been excellent and the outcomes have been positive. There is only one person there who could work on his people skills, but the others are great! Rick Mercado is excellent, so ask for him!

This firm also assigns local attorneys to your case in which you are then referred to. If you are using this firm for the first time, and are not satisfied with the Firms attorney who contacts you. Please call them back and request another attorney. This Law Firm has good experienced attorneys who will help you.

This firm gave me the worst advice that led to a pending lawsuit. When I informed the attorney of the result of following her advice, the attorney started backpedaling. I can't believe that attorney is even licensed! I would have been better off consulting a random person on the street.

UPDATE: I changed it from 4 stars to one star. They don't like to write letters on peoples behalf anymore even though that is what they are paid to do. One of their lawyers dropped the ball severely and we would have been MUCH better off having NEVER contacted them in the first place. Long story short:

Parkstan to us: Send us records for all three people that got sick from food poisoning.
We spent a great deal of money and effort (6+ months!) obtaining them only for Parkstan to only send records for one of the three of us. >:[
Parkstan to Respondent: Respond to us (Parkstan) to resolve this matter.
Respondent: How can we resolve this? It looks like in the records that your client does not have a case because xyz in the docs you sent us.
Parkstan: NO RESPONSE.
Us: What is the status of the matter?
Parkstan: We have received no response.
Respondent: We have been trying to reach Parkstan by email, phone, fax with no response.
Us to Respondent: Please work with us.
Respondent: We cannot until we receive a "drop letter" from ParkStan.

URGH!! Bar complaint was filed and is presently being investigated.

I am a member of Legal Shield and this is my firm that I contact for every question that I need to speak to an attorney about. I can't say enough how amazing these attorneys in this firm are! From personal injury to family law to workman's compensation to medical malpractice, they know their stuff and they are amazing Kama polite, well spoken, highly educated. For every single issue I call my lawyers and they help me all the way. Even I they help me to legalized my family by letting me know how to fill up the emigration paper work till last minute. Thank you. So far they have being helping me for about 150 cases in 5 years. It's because I am a business owner and I have so many questions.

So far they have not added any value. I am still waiting for them to add value. If I get what they promised when I signed up and took my money, then I will update this review.

I was rear ended twice this year. I trust my insurance is trying to do the best for me but it's not always true about the insurance provider on the other side of the claim. I called my law firm and was able to get advice on how to best handle the other person's demand for a verbal statement. My attorney warned me against this but better than that was taking the time to call me after 6pm when most attorney's wouldn't even pick up the phone. I've heard some amazing stories from other colleagues on how they contacted the law firm for more than one issue in a day and like myself, they have not had to pay any attorney fees until this day. Thank goodness for Parker Stanbury. They even sent me letters that covered our discussions over the phone and what I should and shouldn't do.

I have had PPL with this company since 2010, but now it's time to cancel my membership. Their service and representatives are getting worse every year. The call with Dana today let me know this company is not about helping their customers. When I received "help" from her over the phone today, she was rude, and getting upset about a legal issue or question that I had about my employer. She said CA state employees are at-will employees and I shouldn't be complaining about my job. Her so called legal advice seemed more of a judgment and did not help me at all. I will cancel my membership because this is not the first time this happens. What's the point of paying for this if they're not even trying to protect you?

this is a total B.S. company they take your money but when you need them guess what they have no answer and no recommendation they totally suck I being pay member for long time what. I'm very disappointed from this company never will hire them again on top of that they make very difficult to cancel

Got back to me in a matter of minutes, wrote a professional letter on my behalf. Mr Davis was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with, he got right on my case to help me resolve a matter. Most attorneys are rear jerks, and I yet to find one at PS. People who complain that they thought an PS would cover all their legal issues for 40 dollars have no common sense. My family and friends are attorney and even they would charge me alot more then what I get with my legal shield plan. But hey I guess those same people that complain are the same people that try to buy home insurance the moment the house is on fire. FYI I do not sell the membership, I am a member only, and PS has come through for me on more then one occasion.
