Liars. Incompetent. Workers. I am unsure how protocol goes but you never actually speak to lawyers. Only people who are still in school right? Like heather. She was not confident and she never returned my calls. I dismissed them and all my calls immediately were answered and emails were returned and all that. After I dismissed them. I would have loved to have the same energy before the dismissal. Industrial relations office have been more helpful for my workers Comp case then Elvra, Heather, and the gentleman’s name. Vanessa was legit but they never let me talk to her after her pregnancy. To the "owner" asking my "name" to "check my case," why dont you check your staffs emails, my case started March 2017, Olivia Jones.

I'm the one calling them and following up on my claim it's not a big claim and it's taken over a year now. Would not recommend them for any further business. I'm Yesenia and my claim is still pending.

My case has been ongoing for over two years, delayed due to errors filing the case from the beginning. It’s been passed around by at least 3 to 5 different attorneys that I can recall I lost count, and finally recently (9 weeks ago!) I signed settlement for an ok amount but haven’t received anything. I realized that complaining via email works better than through the phone and cc as many people as you can, the more important the better that’s how you’ll get somebody’s attention in that firm. I finally got a call back from the new attorney that is handling my case (#4?) Just to be informed that he was going to request another hearing when i signed settlement 9 weeks ago ‍♂️.
I sense a lack of professionalism with my case being miss handled by this law firm that’s why I give them 2 stars and I will keep this review updated as it develops. .....
Two days after this review I was contacted by the office administrator giving me the same story I've been hearing, fact is they waited 9 weeks for one of the parties signature for the case to proceed and that says how much interest there is on my case. Received the formal motion for hearing and now it's moving, well done finally, like another reviewer said "it's like you have to call them and remind them of your case and what to do" I totally relate.

While I was going through my case with Glauber Berenson, I felt like I was in good hands from the very beginning. Thanks to the great support from my hearing representative, Mr. Romero and my case coordinator, Vanessa Benitez. They were exceptionally well in clarifying every single step of the case progress to me. Even when I felt like giving up, they turned it around for the better and continued to give me courage. I would definitely recommend this law firm to all who need legal help. You will be in good hands just as I was. Thank you very much for your help and support.

Experienced attorneys, who don't fear to try to change the worker's compensation system. Advocates to the injured worker.

MALPRACTICE TRAP!! AVOID THIS LAW FIRM!!

I will be filing a complaint with the State Bar!!!

UNLESS YOU LOOK LIKE 10 MILLION DOLLARS TO GLAUBER/BERENSON THEY WON’T GIVE YOU, OR YOUR CASE THE ATTENTION, AND PROFESSIONAL RESPECT YOU DESERVE!

I wish this rating system would allow me to give GLAUBER/BERENSON a lower rating than a 1 star. This law firm was a nightmare to deal with and should be investigated. They almost botched my case.

I had an extremely bad experience with GLAUBER/BERENSON.

I experienced a work related injury on May 25th, 2017. I called GLAUBER/BERENSON and stated that I had experienced a work related incident and I was seeking representation. They were extremely eager to take me as a client and right away scheduled an appointment for me to come in. My initial meeting on May 29, 2017 was with a gate keeper. He was cordial and gave me the workers comp spiel and sold me on the benefits of having GLAUBER/BERENSON represent me. I signed the docs he presented, which stated that I agree to have GLAUBER/BERENSON represent me.

I was informed on that day my assigned lawyer would be GHEVONNE LOPEZ, and not one of the names on the marquee. He stated that I would meet with GHEVONNE LOPEZ within the coming weeks. Thereafter, I received a letter stating that my appointment with GHEVONNE LOPEZ was scheduled for JULY 07, 2017. (39 days after I retained the GLAUBER/BERENSON firm as council). I thought this was strange, but because I had never experienced a workers comp injury I agreed to follow their protocol.

He stated that Vanessa Benitez would be my case manager, and she would be my first point of contact for anything relating to the workers comp process and my case. This would include dealing with the insurance company, seeing insurance approved doctors, and addressing the medical bills that would be forwarded to me, and any other matters that might arise.

I had begun seeing the Urgent Care doctor that was approved by my employer. All the while, I am receiving medical bills from the emergency room, the ambulance company, the radiologist, and scam companies demanding payment. I scanned and emailed each document to my case manager, Vanessa Benitez. She responds with a cordial, “I received the correspondence and I will address them accordingly.” Unfortunately, the bills didn't stop coming.

As I continued seeing the Urgent Care doctor he informs me that he can no longer sign off and say that I am unable to do my job and I will have to return to work. Because I was in tremendous pain, and still without a full diagnosis of my injuries I didn’t believe that would be the prudent thing to do.

I immediately called the GLAUBER/BERENSON firm and asked to speak with my attorney, GHEVONNE LOPEZ. I get directed to my case manager, Vanessa Benitez. I state to Vanessa Benitez that I need to discuss this scenario with my attorney, GHEVONNE LOPEZ, immediately. Vanessa Benitez informs me that GHEVONNE LOPEZ is unavailable, but she will return my call. GHEVONNE LOPEZ never returns my phone call.

Part 3
At this point I let GHEVONNE LOPEZ know that I did not feel comfortable with her representing me and I would like Mr. Glauber to represent me. With much attitude and the rolling of her neck, she said she would recluse herself and schedule a meeting with another attorney. She then escorted us out of her office, and the building via the servants quarters.

Thank God my friend Sean attended this meeting with me. He suggested that I reschedule the Urgent Care doctor visit. Go directly to the insurance approved doctor they had scheduled and see if I could get an earlier appointment. (Gracefully, they obliged and I was able to see the doctor right away. After his thorough examination and assessment he recommended I do not return to work).

On June 26, 2017 I received an email stating that the Law Offices of GLAUBER/BERENSON felt that there was a break-down of the attorney-client relationship and it is impossible for GLAUBER/BERENSON to effectively represent me.

GLAUBER/BERENSON fired me! Kicking me out as a client with the advice to find another attorney as soon as possible. Also, included in this email was a Notice of Dismissal of Attorneys form that they wanted me to sign and return immediately. I refused to sign the document.

Then the communication began. It went from receiving no phone calls from the offices of GLAUBER/BERENSON to now receiving daily phone calls and emails requesting that I sign the dismissal documents. I ignored their communication. I was perplexed by their insistence on me signing the documents, until I was educated to the fact that until I sign the documents of dismissal GLAUBER/BERENSON by law still had to represent me.

GLAUBER/BERENSON was eager to part ways with me, and I with them. They even attempted to set up a meeting with the 2nd name on the marquee, Ms. Berenson. I refused.

The GLAUBER/BERENSON firm had put me in a catch 22.  Finding a new lawyer willing to take my case became a labor. Very few workers comp lawyers will take on a case if another law firm has been involved. This is because the first firm normally attaches a lien to the case. Which GLAUBER/BERENSON did.

A lien, Imagine that! They logged 19 business days on my case. They literally put me, “IN BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE.” Yet, the GLAUBER/BERENSON group was demanding $10,000.00 of my settlement.

After unsuccessfully soliciting 7 lawyers I was able to secure a great one. The Law Firm of Susan Lavian. Ms Lavian took on my case and gave me the caring, and professional attention I needed. She has given me great advice with clarity on how to proceed while addressing the insurance and doctor issues. I would highly recommend The Law Offices of Susan Lavian, and personally Susan Lavian.

My case has been moving forward…, 2 MRI’s and a 3rd one scheduled. 3 bulging discs in my back, and other debilitating issues in my neck and lower extremities resulting from my fall.  Thanks, GLAUBER/BERENSON for almost botching my case.

If I can give any advice to anyone seeking representation for a workers comp claim AVOID GLAUBER/BERENSON. MR. GLAUBER AND HIS GROUP WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOUR BUSINESS AND THEN YOU WILL NOT HEAR FROM HIM.

I am going to present my case to the Bar with a formal complaint…..especially the expert legal opinion from GHEVONNE LOPEZ, “IT LOOKS TO ME LIKE YOU ARE IN BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE.”
Everything I’ve stated in this missive is fact, and I am more than willing to meet with anyone who is considering hiring the GLAUBER/BERENSON group and share my 19 days worth of correspondence to substantiate the claims I level against them. Their incompetence and how they treat their clients should be considered criminal.

Faux Name

I'm not going to go into details because even thinking about my experience causes me anxiety, but I had a very miserable experience with their offices communication — on every level — as well as the *cough* professionalism and attitudes of the doctors they had sent me to. The lack of communication will cause you severe emotional distress on top of your existing physical pain. Sure, I got an okay amount of money -- upon reflection and considering the pain and suffering, it wasn't enough IMO. But my case was an obvious win, as I had heard from others before I even contacted the office. Truth is, this may just be the way such law offices operate, but if I knew then what I know now, I would have looked for a different law office. Perhaps if you're on death's door, they will give you the white glove treatment — but then maybe not.

MALPRACTICE TRAP! AVOID! Contacted firm on behalf of a friend the day after accident; he couldn't meet with real attorney for a month! They failed to obtain evidence and were rude. Talk a good game but just a mill. AVOID

Also note that Mr. Glauber and his firm have a habit of not communicating with their clients as required under the Code of Professional Responsibility. If you take a moment to read the other comments by disgruntled clients, you will know that Mr. Glauber's promise to review the situation is hollow.

Mr. Glauber has now threatened to make this fight personal against me. That's unfortunate since I was not his client but had merely referred him a client.

AVOID THIS FIRM. MR. GLAUBER WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOUR BUSINESS AND THEN YOU WILL NOT HEAR FROM HIM.

Just read the other complaints against Mr. Glauber.

I had previous experience with this law firm through a previous Co worker who was suing our employer, Kaiser Permenente. I was called as a witness and my testimony won his case. So quite naturally I had faith that they knew what they were doing. Some years later I sued the same company, my case dragged on for 4 yrs. I did not receive bi weekly w comp income, I got a small lump sum after a yr and then nothing else until my case settled. I was destitute, and desperate. Every week I called my attorney to see what I could do. Can they give me money. I was not able to collect SDI..I didn't have anymore money in my fund. I was losing my house, car, and everything I worked very hard for. I was in extreme pain and the company was trying to force me to coming back to work. I could not return because I would have been fired, as I could not keep up with the daily goals the company required. I called my attorney one day and asked if I could work someplace else...I was advised from Glauber Berenson that I could. I asked several times in passing prior to me seriously making this decision. I was always told yes. During the 4 yrs of fighting this case, my case was assigned to many different workers, some very nice and some not so nice. Explaining and explaining and explaining the same story everytime I had a chance to speak to someone. Leaving message after message. One time I was so frustrating because my calls were not being returned, I went to the office to see someone and get answers. I was blocked by the receptionist...a very nice women who had been there for years, she knew who she was working for. She was good at deflecting. I did have pleasent encounters with the office manager, a pleasent man who smooth things over and calmed me down in this process, but he disappeared and I never spoke with him again until the final interview. Although he still worked there. Some guy named Michael who turned out to be a monster was the point of contact now.
He would lie to me, he made it literally impossible for me to get any answers. We would actually argue on the phone...me screaming at him because all the previous information my workers told me I could do, he was now saying they never told me no such thing. Particularly them saying I could work for another company. I did all my med appt, I was diagnosed with 80% disability...which meant a huge settlement...Over 400,000.00. This info came from the office manager in the settlement talks. I was scheduled for surgery at 1 point. Then all of a sudden everything changed. I was called a liar, I was trying to defraud the w comp system, and I was lucky to get any settlement. This was coming from Michael. He became more difficult to get in contact with, I had to finally try and make contact with Mr Glauber. I requested a meeting with him, that was intercepted by Michael and never happened. I went to the office again to demand a meeting with Mr Glauber...again Michael intercepted. He took me to an office we spoke for 2 mins and he was interrupted by someone in the office...he never came back to my meeting...but he sent a fill in to tell me he was busy. All my effort after 4 yrs of fighting had gone down the drain. I felt there was absolutely nothing I could do to get around Michael. He highjacked my case and made me lose everything. I was suppose to have future medical as part of my settlement.
.when I tried to get medical treatment I was told that was not part of my settlement. I was called in for a final interview with the office manager...I told him about my encounter with Michael...he said he was not aware of the abuse this man was inflicting on me. But he did say he was hearing many complaints about him. I ended up with a 50,000.00 settlement but that lump sum payment I received 3 yrs back...had to be paid back...so I ended up with 25,000.00. Today I'm still in pain, my reputation was ruined, and I didn't gain anything from this experience. I was also asked if I would recommend this law firm in my final meeting....No. thanks to that crazy control freak. He was scary..like a dictator.

I had a very complicated Worker Comp case. One of the partners is on the Board to review new attorney licenses and was on the State Board for Worker Comp previously. I was advised that I was not eligible for Worker Comp, but was referred to another attorney for SDI and SSI. They took some time with me and consulted before explaining what my options were. Very professional.
