The worst law firm you can find. They did my case in a very wrong way two times. The owner Kate, reconized , the first time they did my case , her lawyer who name is Stephen did the case in a wrong way.
After that she said, I am going to made your case, becauseyou have a successful case, it is imposible lost the case. I pay a lot of money and they lost the case again.
I wasted a lot of time of my life, I did the full case, and gave them, all the material , I work very hard, for that the process was very frustrating. One year in another country separed of my family.
Finally, with another good lawyer I got my visa very easy in two month!!!!!
Worst of all when I came to Los Angeles I went to the office , and nobody appeared, only a secretary gave me the copy’s, I saw my cases with crazy 600 pages, disorganized , everything showed in a bad way.
I understood everything, but I felt very sad and deceived.
Be careful! Don’t chose this firm!

It is not my goal to ever write negative reviews but I feel it is my duty to write one where warranted. My wife went to Kate for a green card. After charging an exorbitant fee (compared to a lawyer we hired to fix her mess) Kate all but disappeared. In short the green card case had issues. Instead of walking us through options, we could barely get Kate on the phone unless we either called repeatedly or threatened going to the State Bar with her paralegal. It is not much to ask your lawyer to return a phone call or two.... if you are expecting that of Kate, think again. Just getting our file was a hassle. We eventually hired another attorney who fixed the mess. Kate is unreliable, unresponsive and didn't care about us except for the check.

After a lengthy, stressful and most importantly unsuccessful immigration process, I can honestly say this is by far and away the worst law firm I have ever dealt with.

Initially, you are likely to speak to one of the senior attorneys (in my case, Stephen Maniaci) or Kate Raynor herself.
This part of the process will be extremely positive and slick. They were making all the right noises and said that my case was good enough to take on, however like most things approval is not guaranteed.

From this moment on, it was a slippery slope and continued to get worse till the end of the process.
After the initial meeting (where you feel like you case will be handled by experienced, professional attorneys) my case was handed to (in my opinion) a much junior attorney, Lea Nehme.

The first email she sent me was a template 'welcome email' but she didn't even have the gumption to change the name. I then highlighted her mistake and she replied to me with another incorrect name.
IT TOOK HER THREE ATTEMPTS TO GET MY NAME CORRECT.

Alarm bells start ringing but by this time you've paid the first half of your retainer fee and attribute her mistakes to a simple error, or the fact she hadn't had her morning coffee.

It is a very strange situation because:
1) You've paid them a lot of money.
2) You want the visa.
3) You think to yourself "it's only a minor mistake, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about".

I continued on but it got worse. Evidence that was sent via dropbox was received by them, only for them to reply saying some bits are missing. Once I checked the files, sure enough the documents were there...they just lack attention to detail.

Mistake after mistake went by and I foolishly overlooked them because the hope for approval greatly outweighs the concern for errors/lack of concentration.

Fast forward to the stage I received an RFE from USCIS. I spoke to the attorney on Skype. Which again was another headache. Despite booking a time to talk, they claimed that their "servers were down and Skype wasn't working" which is funny because my Skype was working fine and they still had the ability to email during their internet 'issues'.

After finally speaking to them, the advice I received was extremely vague and contradictory. So much so, I spoke to another law firm to get some advice and consequently found out that Raynor & Associates had failed to advise me of all my options, which I think is a breach of the professional and ethical code of conduct set forth by the California State Bar.

At this point, things were resolved to a certain degree and I was led to believe things would be different moving forward...It wasn't.

If you only read one part of this review I urge you to read this:
The attorney agreed to send my the case they had produced, so I could read it and make any amendments...because after all, this application is about me so who is better positioned to make changes and add any details than myself.
The work they had produced was underwhelming. Numerous grammatical errors and some of the stuff didn't even make sense.
The standard of writing was below my personal expectations let alone my expectations of a professional attorney who should be well versed in this area.
I redrafted the entire case because I knew I could do a better job. Once sending it back to them, it was agreed that my version would be submitted. They made a few amendments and sent it back to me. DURING THIS PROCESS THEY MANAGED TO INSERT GRAMMATICAL ERRORS TO THE DOCUMENT.

I could write multiple pages on the horrendous experience I've had with this firm but they don't deserve anymore of my time.
Needless to say I am currently in the process of filing an official complaint with the California State Bar and also the Fee Arbitration Program.

This review is based on my personal experience and is not intended to sway peoples decisions on whether or not to use this firm.

As a talent agency working with a great number of international actors. I love having a law firm partner who is dedicated, professional and always available. Could not be happier than the relationship I have with this firm.
