Best closing attorney in town!!!

My daughter applied for a Personal Assistant job. Received a check from this company saying she was a good fit and they wanted to work with her. The check was for about $3000.00 and came with instructions to cash it, keep a portion for her wages ( little over $500), and send the rest to an orphanage. The letter explained why he needed an assistant and that she will work from home because he travels a lot....I believe this to be a scam. I called the bank and they won't verify the legitimacy of the account over the phone. (We live in Oklahoma) There is enough information on the internet to make it APPEAR legit to someone who doesn't want to dig, however, no REAL information is listed...and the BBB doesn't have any info on them. (well, they do now) Just thought I'd share my experience in case someone else is in the same situation. I'm only rating because I wanted to comment. I have no idea whether this company even exists or if this is a scam.
