I called and asked about a bill. The lady couldn’t even tell me what my balance was. What kind of business is that??!! How can I finish paying you if I don’t know my balance??? Also, when you pay them, you get no receipt. It just says thanks for your payment. This place should shut all the way down!!!!!

There really should be an option to give negative stars. This place needs to be investigated. When you pay them, they give you a confirmation number. Weeks later they will mail you something saying you have paid. However. Months to a year after you pay they will keep it posted as a debt on your credit. They will not remove it unless you fax to them proof that you paid them. They do not keep records of who has paid. They will try to say you still owe the money. If you call them they will be nasty and tell you that you still owe them money unless you can provide from your bank that you did pay them. Tell your attorney before paying them.
Oh my! Very rude customer service by Arlene. I received a notification from the law office stating that I had an outstanding balance from Houston County Emergency Group LLC. I was asking questions for clarification from the secretary of the law firm, Arlene and she proceeded to berate me in an unprofessional manner. I was appalled and shocked by her tone and the manner in which she shamed me for asking clarifying questions. I would not recommend conducting business with this law firm. Very unprofessional.

Rude!!! They call themselves a law firm!! I asked to speak to a supervisor and i was told no not right now!!! Maybe try tommorow!! Or maybe try calling back monday!!! As it is they take forever to answer thier calls!! Took me a week and a half to try to get a hold of someone. There’s no way this could be a legit company. The letter is very poorly written, and from the customer service I received this must be a scam ! First and foremost this company is legit and most definitely not a scam they are not just a collection agency. They also have a billing department that processes the insurance claims and medical Bill's for the hospital I visited and are not a 3rd party collector, so do not listen to other reviews or it could really bite you in the long run. My advice is to resolve the matter asap because the longer it lingers the more complicated settling it becomes. Dee, a representative in the collections department, is amazing. Not only contacted my insurance company to resolve the matter but also talked to another collection agency when they some how purchased the settled debt 8 months later. She spent over half an hour on the phone with them explaining what happened why the debt was not owed, and why the sale of the debt was unauthorized. Truly amazing customer service.

There REALLY should be a negative star. The letter I got said we've discussed this before and this is my final notice to settle for a lower amount. Never talked with them before! I asked who I owe. That company has a disconnected phone and shows the "President " as Christopher Durham.....So this Emergency Medical Group I allegedly owe, which they told me to "Google" to check out alleged debt, is run by a Durham! The only available phone number for these alleged physicians goes back to this "law firm" collection company!! Everything Googled led back here never to the company I allegedly owe! There even was an address for the alleged company I owe, but it has a "permanently closed" location and no forwarding phone number! Scam!

It was not a scam, but I was concerned it might be so I called my insurance company and the company that actually sent the bill which both confirmed I really do owe the money and I have to send it to the lawfirm. I'm 19 and didn't understand any of it, but apparently it was from the doctor. My parents recieved statements from the place that billed me but never told me, so they sent it to this company. I barely waited at all (less than a minute). She was very patient with me (Taylor) and explained to me I'm not in trouble and that I could make payments online. This is the company the medical company sends the debt too, so I mean its not a scam. I will be calling back to confirm everything.

After I disputed it, they mailed me back with proof of the bill WHICH DOES NOT EVEN EXIST!!! The account number was fake, I have gone back and fourth with the hospital, debt collectors, etc and no one can find proof of the supposed debt I owe. Was not a scam... They had an automated message call me about colleting some money, then sat on hold for about 30 minutes... (not too bad so far) then they told me they were calling about an emergency room visit from 2014 that was actually paid for so they went ahead and took me off the call list.
From my experience this is not a scam but just a very poorly operational business.

This isn't a company, it's a SCAM. I was sent a letter indicating that I owed an amount of $787 from an account that was almost a year overdue to a doctors office in a city I have literally never set foot in. I called this company, never got in touch with anyone. I just sat on hold forever. I then decided to call the doctors office that I supposedly owe money to. They couldn't find anything. I was transferred to 3 separate billing offices and NONE of those offices found an outstanding balance. It is, however, the hospital system that I have gone to in the past, just not in the city I live in. They found my legitimate account and, guess what, it's in good standing. I don't owe anyone anything. I of course, knew that. I was also told that this is NOT a company they use for debt collection. They have NO affiliation with this fake front of a company. The date that I supposedly had these services done I was NOT at the hospital. I haven't had insurance in over a year and have not had one SINGLE doctors visit since I lost insurance. TOTAL SCAM. I repeat, DO NOT MAIL THESE CROOKS A CHECK!

This is not an upset review. This review is based on the lack of professionalism of this company.
I had to call the office 4 times before I could through their IVR system. Each time I called and entered in the File Number I would get disconnected.
After the 4th attempt, I finally got transferred and waited on hold for 32 minutes before speaking to someone. That is a whole other topic in itself.
If you want to be in business, make sure your equipment works.
Now I have to wait and see what they send me. I requested a validation of the debt, but I'm sure I'm going to get something exported from their system and not what I requested.

This is not a review written by someone angry because of annoying calls from a credit company, this is actually the opposite. I attempted multiple times to contact this company after I found out they were holding my account. After waiting to speak to a representative for 30 minutes I was told that a letter would be sent to me indicating how much was due, etc. After a month I had yet to receive anything so I called back, the representative who was overseeing my case was on lunch.... okay..... can I get a call back. Evidently not. So I called again a week later, I literally waited on the phone for over an hour to the tune of, "Well in reality I'm on break.". LADY, I'm on break too and I have been waiting for over an hour on the phone, I literally had to call on another phone just to see if you were even there because no one was picking up. On top of that, the lady had the nerve to say that I lied about my settlement claim. It's unfortunate that companies think they can treat people this way. BBB here I come.
