First impression: attorney Paul Horn seemed smart, knowledgeable, passionate about how clients should diligently do to avoid costly probate process, and what clients should consider in planning for his/her assets distribution like developing a succession planning.
That assessment was based on my last minute crash-in at one of Mr. Horn's seminars held for real estate agents in the city of Cerritos 4.5 years ago.
Second impression, or my most recent assessment of attorney Paul Horn and his staff: Professional, Courteous, Respectful, Experienced, Intelligently Smart and Knowledgeable in engineering my assets-succession; attorney Paul Horn really watches my back. The Estate Planning Portfolio that his office put together for me on October 1st 2018 is comprehensive enough that I know myself and my assets are being cared for by the most diligent and concerned attorney that truly watches out for mine and my intended beneficiaries. Attorney Horn integrated his active-CPA knowledge into developing an estate-plan for me, which addresses all types of life-situations and conditions to optimize my assets distribution wishes.

For me, what sets Mr. Paul Horn apart from other estate planning attorneys? Here is the background: I have been searching for a decent estate-planner since 1999. I attended so many sponsored seminars on estates and living-trusts planning at my credit unions and major banks. I was in search for a trust-worthy attorney specialized in Living Trust that I could trust, to design a comprehensive Living-Trust document that could out-live me to distribute my hard-earned savings and investment assets (in multi-states) in such a manner that my appointed agent(s) and recipients, upon my death or incapacitated, could act and/or inherit the most out of distributions as intended. I was unsuccessful in selecting an estate-planner for years.
My work-life kept me busier and busier so my personal life was put on hold until one day while on an oversea business trip, an executive of a company sitting next to me on the airplane shared her life-events with me...which prompted an urgent reminder, what good does it do if I work hard for my assets and leave to no one upon my life-departure?
In early 2014, a good real estate agent said to me that Mr. Horn is really good but expensive, he is super busy and his office is in LA or San Bernardino county...so I should look for someone else in Orange County to do my living-trust. So I asked one of my engineer-employees that had utilized a well-known estate-planning attorney in Orange County, I googled about this attorney and read good comments about that office so I proceeded with an appointment for counsel and developing my living trust with that office. I had limited time between business travels and personal commitments at the time, and I didn't see a sampling until my trust portfolio was made...the result: I received a very basic and sub-optimized living trust document, not mentioning typos and misspellings that needed correction via supplemental. In early 2018 this year, I had to use my living trust document developed in 2014 for a real estate escrow transaction, that's when I realized that I needed to revamp my living trust again, but with a better know-how and experienced estate-planning attorney.

In June of 2018, I asked for a 30-min counsel with Mr. Paul Horn now that his office has been relocated to the city of Cerritos. After 10 minutes listening to elements that will be covered in his estate-planning to protect client's assets and ensure the distributions will be to the intended beneficiaries and only the beneficiaries, I was sold then to select Mr. Paul Horn as estate-planning attorney for my personal needs.

I attended my 1st probate Seminar with Paul Horn about a year ago. The knowledge gained has benefitted me both personally and professionally. He is generous with important information and somehow manages to make a seminar on death and taxes an engaging and fun classroom experience. That said, I attended my second probate seminar with Paul today and am very glad I did. The next time he's speaking in Beverly Hills I will be there again. Also, I am going to enlist his help with revising my own existing Living Trust. When it comes to legal help, Paul emphasizes that, "you get what you pay for." Paul Horn and his Team are professional Estate Planning and Probate attorneys. As a Real Estate Broker I often come across clients who are in situations where a proper will wasn’t put in place and requires the property to be sold by Probate. Paul has helped several of my clients with this sensitive situation by filing documents on their behalf, going to the court on their behalf and assisting them in selling the Estate the legal way.
