This attorney is the worst there is. He's lucky he got a star. He took my money and never came to court. I acquired a new attorney and funny thing asks me if I know Gutierrez a month or 2 later. I totally forgot his name. This dirt bag of Gutierrez goes look for my case trying to see what is going on. I'm going to the bar and take his license away. I was fighting a 3 strike drug case. Simon Aval is very good.

This is coming from an outside point of view since I never retained his services, but witnessed his actions. There is a reason this attorney has so many bad reviews. A greedy attorney. Who would have thought!? As you can see from several other reviews, he is a hard man to get a hold of and it's like pulling teeth getting any sort of doccuments from him. He charges a ridiculous amount of money for doing next to nothing and you'd be better off finding somebody else. I had to proof read and rewrite a drafted declaration by him 4 times for gammatical errors as well as incorrect information. He also trips over his words in court and presents incorrect information as if he was asleep at the wheel. If you have to spend the money, find an attorney with a better reputation as well as better reviews.

James Segall- Gutierrez was the reason why I got through my divorce so smoothly. His professionalism was always great and his staff kept me informed with step by step process. May you continue to have many many more victories in the courtroom. ⚖️

He took $$$ for representation. He supposedly showed up to court for me and I ended up with a warrant for my arrest. I wouldn't recommend this attorney to my enemy! I asked him what happened at court and he ignored my questions, he said we'll talk when we see each other in court.

Gets well into asking important direct counter arguements and proceeds by meticulously interjecting effective questions that can or will reveal intent &/or motives from the opposing side, which seemlessly uncovers lies/contradicting statements that damages the opposing sides integrity/credibility.
Have called upon Mr. James P. G., for numerous cases; which hes consistently succeeded in getting me out of many rabbit holes.

Worst Attorney ever! If I could give him a negative -5 I would!! Trying to get our paperwork back from him and his staff. We took our file to him over 5 months ago and he has done NOTHING! He blows you up for $$ but does no work/No court date just leads you on! Sorry excuse for a business!

Worst lawyer ever. He is so irresponsible. He did not appeared to my hearing on 8-6-2015 to a custody case were the father wanted the sole legal and physical custody. so this lawyer, never contacted me, postponed or notified me that he was not coming to defend me in front of a judge. I was just left alone with no idea on what to do by my own. The judge postponed the hearing for 20 days later, which in those 20 days I never got a call from this attorney or the office. the only contact was when I called James Segall Gutierrez's office that same day 8-6-2015 and told them how irresponsible they were and that I wanted nothing to do with them anymore. so for those 20 days I was preparing my case in order to be ready for he new court date. On 8-26-2015 the day of my new hearing I was so afraid and nervous that I decided to sign the plan on visitations and custody developed by the evaluator. then guess what.. James Segall Gutierrez came to court to this new hearing date, (again with out previous notification or call) and stated that his office never told him that I did not want him to be my lawyer anymore. Unfortunately because he was my lawyer in record he needed to sign the custody plan too. He did sign it, and next week a got a bill from his office charging me $500 extra for that court hearing. Today 2-24-16. I am in court for the same case with no resources or non profit agency able to help me because he has not sign the substitution of attorney.

I was so unhappy with the way this law office treated my case. They ignored me and took a deposit of $1000 and did not do as they promised me. They did not return calls or emails. Soon as they got my money they stop communicating with me. Dont dont dont use this office they are terrible and dont care about you. I was treated terrible save your hard earn money and use a Law office with integrity. These guys are all about taking your money.
