I came to Mr. Wechsler after my initial submission of my moral character application because the California State Bar requested additional information from me. They asked me to submit three particular narratives regarding my past. I was initially horrified at the thought that I could have potentially wasted three years of my life in law school and never be admitted to the bar because of my past indiscretions. After furiously searching for attorneys on the Internet, I repeatedly stumbled across Mr. Wechsler’s name from multiple people who had favorable outcomes. Every review said the same thing “He’s not the cheapest, but he’s the best.” Although money is tight as a struggling law student, in the grand scheme of things, you’ve already spent 250k on an education, so spending a little more to drastically increase the odds for a favorable outcome is negligible.

After contacting Mr. Wechsler, I briefly explained my circumstances and soon thereafter met him for an initial consultation. Mr. Wechsler used to work for the California State Bar and thoroughly understands the inner workings of the committee determining an applicant’s moral character. Let’s be clear, just because he worked there does not mean he’s going to pull some strings and get you a favorable outcome. Mr. Wechsler’s philosophy is to make his clients work for it. By work for it, I mean he will have you start at A and work your way to Z with full honesty. Once you submit your documents to him, you will go back and forth until there are no missing holes in your story and you both feel it is satisfactory. The key here is to be as candid as possible. By the end of it, I could have published my life story as a book. Was it hard? Yes. Was I a nervous wreck and wanted to give up? Yes. The bar usually take 180 days to make a determination, but Mr. Wechsler made sure my papers got in the right hands, and even had me send an electronic copy to expedite the process. I had a favorable outcome much quicker than anticipated. It was clear the committee could see that I was being as candid as possible, thanks to Mr. Wechsler’s guidance.

I honestly could not have done this without Mr. Wechsler’s guidance. He truly gave me insight on what the committee is looking for, and the best way to present my information to them.
