It has been a year since I refinanced my home, and I have recently received a statement from my mortgage company stating I owe over $3000 towards escrow. Why? Because the lawyer was unable to copy and paste the correct numbers for taxes, and I have been paying half of what should have been paid monthly. So now my monthly mortgage payment is back to what it was prior to refinancing. I thought I was looking over everything very closely at closing, but apparently not, and it turns out I shouldn't have even refinanced. Don't trust them. I would not use them during closing, nor would I use Amerisbank as a mortgage company.

Horrible HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. PLEASE never deal with this "law firm". I am leery to deal with anyone who insists on working only with this firm. I attempted reaching them for two weeks straight, calling, leaving voice messages, and emails daily with no response about our upcoming closing. The buyer finally replied 1-2 days before closing only to state he cannot close. I attempted to retrieve the earnest money for two days (again via phone and email) with no return response from the firm. The buyer(s), Queen Capital Properties, would not make themselves available by phone any longer, but finally replied via email after several CC's. This is the response I received after reaching out since 10AM this morning: "Mike was the leader on this deal and due to uncontrollable circumstances, I joined in due to his absence. I do not have after-hours contact information for the attorneys Mike worked with on this deal. It is after business hours now and I'm unable to reach them. Therefore I will not be able to make this happen for you today. Thanks for your understanding in advance." I asked"..."what can you do to assist" and this is the reply I received "I've reached out to Michael about this and waiting for his response. I CAN let you wait until Michael returns next month, and let you work directly with him." I am still seeking contact with the Attorney for direct contact. I've only received voice to voice 3 times within a month, each by a "precloser/secretary" Beryl who always states- "Tyler is not in the ofc yet but I can give him your message", or "Kathy is in a closing" yet she never returns my calls either. I question, " Is this some sort of SCAM?" I decided to also report them to BBB. It is my opinion that no one should patronize McCain Cigelske Law Firm. My final review opinion formulated this evening, so I decided to do something about it. I hope my review saves YOU unnecessary stress, hassle, and worry.

This attorney worked hard for me in the beginning and he did collect a fair settlement for me. He has not communicated with me since March and it is now August. Ive left numerous voicemails, texts and emails that have all been ignored. I've sent him a certified letter with no response and am now filing a grievance with the State Bar. I will also be taking legal action against him. I've injured myself at work and am now not working and need this money so much right now.
