I just called in to the law firm to see if they could take a case regarding some issues that I've been having on YouTube since I did a Google search and found this firm could potentially provide support with Internet laws. After I told her that I'd been having trouble on YouTube and wanted to potentially get a video taken down, she quickly stated "OH NO WE DONT DO THAT" (we? Yeah pretty positive YOU don't do anything except answer phones and file paperwork) So then I ask "well doesn't the firm handle Internet law if I'm being threatened and harassed and YouTube is doing nothing about it?" She says "well I don't know it's kind of a hard thing to do but if you want to pay $250 an hour to talk to someone then that's up to you!" LADY I called a law office, not a volunteer center! I'm very aware that no one works for free. I wouldn't work for free either! So she then goes on to say "ugh well hold on for a second..." I cut her short and replied ... "Nope! This clearly isn't the firm I need to do business with. These are early warning signs." And disconnected. Maybe I sounded young and black and she didn't think I could afford the $250 to speak with a lawyer ... Maybe they get a lot of calls from people who can't pay. I don't know... but they'll surely lose a lot of business if they keep her on the main line! Word of advice , you never know who you're dealing with. Always be kind and willing to help!
