I was initially able to speak with the attorney directly and she said that she would respond and never did. I actually had to chase her for a while before she had one of her assistants tell me that she had been ill and wouldn't be assisting me. The issue isn't that she isn't able to assist but the level of unprofessional behavior on her part. Her legal assistants became flustered because they didn't know what to say when I would call. At first it was "she is definitely going to call you today", then suddenly a different assistant told me that "she just returned to the office today after a long illness" which wasn't true because I had been calling everyday. I understand it isn't the assistant ' fault that their boss has them lie to clients or potential clients, it was just all around a frustrating experience.
