Mr. Schaffer and his staff were excellent. He got my felony case dismissed where another lawyer I hired couldn’t. I would recommend him to anyone in a jam. His knowledge and having been a DA for many years made the whole process stress-free and made it look so easy. I highly recommend him.

My friend was wrongfully accused of some crimes and Mr. Shaffer, the upstanding representative that he is, traveled to a jurisdiction outside Santa Ana many times to see that this case was satisfied. My friend ultimately got THE BEST outcome hoped for, thanks to Jerry.

Hi my name is Amy Belusko-Pittman and I am a client of Jerry Schaffer’s. Any of you out there looking for an upstanding attorney you have definitely found one in Jerry Schaffer. I first met Jerry when he visited me while I was in custody at the farm in Irvine. I had a public defender defending me at the time who wasn’t doing anything for me or for my case and Jerry showed up and paid me a visit at the jail, he reassured me that he was going to help me and helped me was exactly what he did. He had faith in me and made me feel at ease during a difficult time in my life. He gave me hope that he was going to get me out of jail and within the time I retained him I was out of jail within a few weeks after. Jerry has stuck by my side throughout the entire time with my case. When I got arrested again for the second time just recently, he was there to help me with a new case that I had caught. After doing a little bit of time, which o should have done a lot of time, he was able to get me out once against.
I’ve been reading some of the reviews that have been given and quite frankly I am appalled by some of the things I have read. He does not deserve any of the bad reviews he has gotten. I have had several attorneys over the years and he is by far the best attorney I have ever retained. So for anybody out there looking for a good honest man to help them with a difficult time in their life choose Jerry Schaffer and o promise you will not be disappointed.

Hired the guy a year ago to file a petition for factual innocence. He stated it would take 3 months tops to have completed. Three months go by and his previous secretary claims she filed it. Jerry later validated that this was a lie. Four months later still no motion filed. I asked for my money back and no answer. The latest correspondence he himself reiterated that “this isn’t rocket science” and “it’s really simple” telling me to let him get to the bottom of it. More time wasted and nothing done. Disputed the charge with the bank and reported him to the state bar. The guy is an absolute mockery to the legal profession. I highly recommend all the other one star reviews do the same. It’s only a matter of time before this guys incompetence costs someone their freedom.

Also, most of the 5 star reviews are clearly written by staff in his office. Most defendants don’t know what’s “common practice” for bond hearings.

He on time to collect cash but unable to perform his a bandit with a title he never showed up to court not only 1 but 3 times his not professional should be reported to the bar..

today ill tell you how i was wrongfully accused of a assault i went to jail had to post bail i was told this lawyer was good so called jerry, i told jerry i wasn't at the scene of the crime nor was i in a fight i didn't see one i wasn't in the area they have a million cameras where the incident supposedly took place like literally cameras everywhere they had no evidence cuz i never assaulted anyone ,jerry did not go get no camera footage he strung me along for a few weeks about the camera footage before i paid him in full i gave him 2500 off top then he wanted 500 every 2 weeks till i paid him the full 5k ,the d.a rejected my case before i paid jerry in full jerry tells me he still has to fight for me because police was not letting it go so he told me the d.a rejected my case 2 times and told me he still has to fight for me mind you i never went to court not one time he ain't step a foot out of his office for me last time i talked to him he promised me if i pay the rest of the money i owe he will get this off my record and get my property back from the police fast ,he tells me i got to write a letter to the judge ,so he telling me i paid him so i can write a letter to the judge ?!?fast forward 3 years later no calls from him not a thank you for the free 5k he took from me his assistant are young females who dont do anything but screen calls for him this man didn't help me at all no camera footage never went to court nothing .all he good for is collecting money thats the only time he will call you

Well where can I start? Absolutely the best! Jerry, very educated person and knows perfectly well the way the ball rolls in the court rooms very knowledgeable with many years of experience. I could not be happier with the results of my case. I was facing a serious conspiracy charge in a big case among with 6 other defendants and was looking at a couple years in prison. Jerry is well known in the court rooms and definitely knows the right people in the right places has a very good presentation (which counts a lot) and works very hard to get you the BEST results. I fought my case for a good while but Jerry helped me like you wouldn't imagine, thanks to him I didn't lose my job and the judge worked with me on giving me time to turn myself in. Jerry knows how to work the system very well and I also got the opportunity to get approved for the home confinement instead of being behind bars.
