It would have been great to get past the sales pitch to see if they could help, but sadly, I did not. I called requesting an Interstate Tax Attorney and got a sales pitch. Asked for an attorneys name to provide to my boss and got another sales pitch and demeaning of any and all other attorneys that claim to offer Interstate Tax attorneys. The website does not speak of Interstate Tax assistance, but IRS and for all 50 states. That's great but not what we are looking for. I expressed my desire and what we needed only to be met with an argumentative mansplainer. Best practices are to listen and answer questions, not offer up how you are better than anyone else we may have in our sights to consult with that isn't you.

If you are looking for an honest , top notch , customer service oriented company to help with your tax issues, look no further. I cannot say enough about what fair, honest and capable people Joseph and his staff are . We need more businesses whose work reflects these kind of ethics!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!

I contacted Joseph At Tax Relief Systems because the state had levied my bank account and cleared me out. I hadn't filed taxes in over 10 years and owed both the IRS and state over 150k in back taxes. Within days the levy was lifted off my bank account and the money was returned. John Ko who handled my case is amazing, he got all my back taxes filed for both IRS and State. UPDATE: Looks like they removed the slanderous and grammatically inept response but I had taken a screen shot and added it for all to see.

There is absolutely no reason to do business with this company. At best it's a group of people with different titles shuffling you around and claiming that they're doing a lot of work for you. However, when you ask to see that work they become hostile.

I hired this company on 12/12/17 to help me with personal and business taxes. Joseph Benfatti told me that they would be able to take care of both issues for me that stemmed from late filing, file all of my returns for 2017, and assist me with a dissolution of a company. As we came closer to the deadline given to me by the IRS (01/05/18), they became more and more hostile to me with every question that I asked. I called the office on 01/03/15 and a woman told me that the case was assigned to someone and that's who I should talk to. That person (John Ko) was assigned on 12/27/17 according to an email sent to me and I was told that he would get back to me the following week. On 01/04/18 I emailed the main office that I hadn't heard anything back and they emailed back with, "We are taking care of this ..." On 01/05/17 I called John Ko and he returned my call, only to first tell me that I hadn't signed the correct power of attorney so he couldn't do anything. When I explained I did everything that Joseph asked he then told me that since my liability wasn't in the six figures that the IRS wasn't going to bother coming after me. The call ended with him agreeing to call the IRS, per my previous conversations, and he was to get back to me after that call on the same day. I didn't hear back and texted Joseph at 6:30 pm. This time John called me back and said he had been on hold with the IRS for 3 hours and he'd call me back. He called back in a matter of minutes and told me he got cut off but said that they (the IRS) told him that I was fine. When I asked him who he spoke to he told me "a random agent" and became hostile with me. The more questions I asked, the more abusive he became until he finally said to me that I had, "only been a client for a few days" and other defensive comments. After I got off the phone with him I received a text from Joseph that he'd refund my money and then another accusing me of being unappreciative of all the extra work that they did. The only work I saw was when Joseph and I were on the phone with the IRS and we got an extension to the 5th of January. Earlier on this day when I did talk to Joseph he told me that there were a lot of notes by John Ko. When I asked him what the notes specifically said he became defensive. At every point when I asked questions and what the game plan was I was met with either a vague answer or an angry accusation. Additionally, when I first hired them Joseph invited me to a "business meeting" to discuss what sounded like an MLM project. I asked details but he told me I needed to come to one of their (he and his wife's) meetings on a Tuesday or Saturday to find out because it was too hard to explain on the phone. I found this a bit odd and should have ended the relationship then.

I should have followed my gut, so many things sounded fishy at the start but they kept asking me to trust them and that they would take care of everything. Each time I asked questions I was met with hostility or insults. I'm filing a complaint with BBB on this one. I've had some difficulties this past year and instead of doing the job that they were hired to do, they took advantage of me. John Ko told me over and over that he was a pro and handled multi-million dollar cases so mine was no problem.

Stay away from this company. You'll only get empty promises, no substance, and wasted time. I should have taken care of this myself from the start. Now a few weeks have passed and I still have unresolved issues and am a few hundred dollars lighter.

A couple of months ago my husband and I saw a couple of ads that would assist you with your IRS issues. So we called them and they turned out that be very expensive to be hired and I had to come up with the money right away. So my husband started researching and came across Tax Relief Systems. When he told me the prices and that it would be a monthly charge I was thinking what did you get us into as the prices were so affordable. The first thing that came to my mind was they are not going to help us and just want our money but boy was I really wrong.

They not only made their services affordable for us to pay but they got on the phone with the IRS and dropped my monthly payments a lot.
