I’m just starting with Marcy post a divorce. I thought when the divorce was over the contention and conflict between my husband and me would end. I was not so lucky. Whereas before he had nothing to do with the children or their school and healthcare, he’s now super dad and tries to malign me to my children’s teachers and interfere with routine office visits to Drs . I get endless emails from him. Marcy is fantastic. One letter from her and she terminates whatever aggressive, intrusive claim he’s putting forward. Her style is objective, cogent, fearsome without sounding biased. It is extremely effective. She presents a confident but no nonsense demeanor. Your ex will inflame you will emails as they struggle to let go—no matter what yet the circumstances.The temptation is to write equally ugly emails in response. But it is a form of abuse. Your ex partner only wants some kind of response negative or positive. The other in your partnership just wants attention. The court order regulates the parenting. Sometimes it’s vague and Marcy tells you the good, the bad, the worse. And you need to hear that. You do not want to spend thousands on a hearing to have the judge rule against you. It’s better off letting Marcy guide you into an appropriate response. It’s cheaper. She is extremely nice, practical, and smart. The exaggerated demand letters from other lawyers full of offensive adjectives about your parenting are only to make you feel afraid. The judges do not like them either. The law and the court order, as
the judge interprets it, is the bottom line.
