Left a message on his voicemail over 1 week ago & no reply. Not worth any more effort with this guy except to post review to save others the time.
May 15th 2019 - I just checked the the trademark website and they have a record of my filing from May 10th. However, still no record of an application filed by John Burton. Even after paying him $2100.00 up front. I'm not surprised because John never filed an application with the trademark office. I got an update from the State Bar today. They have reached out to John by phone and email but he still hasn't gotten back with them. You really should call them John because this isn't going away. I will get my money back and you will be held accountable. By the time this is over you will realize you should have done the right thing and reimbursed my money.
May 10th 2019. - I just spent and hour on the trademark web site registering my trademark. I had to call them twice for assistance. Luckily I was on hold less than 5 minutes each time. They were very helpful and walked me right through the process. Here is the kicker. It only cost $275.00. I paid this hack John Burton $2100.00 back in January and he still has not filed an application with the trademark office. No wonder he was put on probation by the state bar back in March of 2019. You should have refunded my money John.

DO NOT HIRE JOHN BURTON TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU!!!! Check him out with the State Bar of AZ.
Back in January of 2019 I hired him to assist me in getting a trademark for my business. I have paid him $2100.00 already and as of May 8th 2019 he still has not filed an application with the trademark office. After two months had gone by I asked John why he had not filed an application with the trademark office yet. His excuse was the trademark office was no longer accepting paper applications. After personally calling the trademark office I found out that was a total lie. They do accept paper applications still for $600.00. I also found out an application can be submitted online for $275.00. Apparently John doesn’t own a computer or he couldn’t figure out how to submit an application online. The applications should have been filed within 7 to 10 days max. I believe John used the $2100.00 to pay his bills and does not have the $1200.00 to file the two applications. The last time I spoke to John a few weeks ago he said he mailed the applications but was also going to submit them online to ensure they were received. That’s lie number two. The trademark office said nobody would do that because it would require two separate fees of $600 and the $275. Why would he tell me he mailed them when he had already told me they were no longer accepting paper applications. Lie number 3.
After starting to believe John was a con man I looked into his background. I should have done this to begin with. What did I find? John just had a complaint upheld by the Bar association in March of 2019 for over charging a client and basically being unethical. John is now on probation and was forced to reimburse the client.
I gave John every opportunity to make this right by allowing him to reimburse me my $2100.00. I emailed him, faxed him and sent him a certified letter requesting a total refund. I told him I would not contact the Bar association and report him if he refunded my money but now John leaves me no choice. I’m out $2100.00 and have absolutely nothing to show for it.
