Aaron Black was knowledgeable, honest, and fought to get me the best possible outcome, my ordeal lasted 1 year and 5 months and during that time he worked with me to strengthen my case and develop the best possible argument and the result was the prosecution giving us what we wanted and now I can move on with my life. At first Aaron can come off as brass, and he sometimes speaks off the cuff. This was my first impression of the guy. I recently put myself in a bad situation after getting arrested for a DUI in Phoenix as an out of state resident. BAC 0.17 at the scene and BAC 0.19 at the station. I had no idea what to expect and was suddenly faced with some horrible consequences. I began researching and looking at reviews of lawyers in the area and came across Aaron Black.
I explained my situation and he instantly told me what the reality was likely to be once everything was finalized. Which was a sudden relief and when we finalized HE WAS COMPLETELY RIGHT.

Another suggestion Aaron Black made was to not test my blood taken from the station due to the fact that if my 0.19 blood came back higher that would push me into the 0.20 (super extreme DUI) which I agreed was definitely something I wanted to stay away from.
When I was finalized in court,the judge also said to Aaron and I that it was good we did not test the blood due to possibility of putting myself into a WAY worse situation.

Aaron stayed in communication with me all the way through the process, he advised me to reject the plea and just plea to the court to get a reduced jail sentence and home detention. We were able to keep my jail time and home detention at the minimum when the State wanted much more. I was in a bad situation, I needed a lawyer quickly. Went to Avvo and saw how highly reviewed Aaron was. I soon found how that he truly is that talented and knowledgeable. I was facing a super extreme DUI with a .23 BAC and Aaron was able to get it down to a regular DUI. He truly investigated my case. He interviewed witnesses, reviewed the body cam footage (found a glaring inconsistency in the officer's statement), and truly got down to the issue with the prosecutor. I was looking at 45 days in jail, Aaron got me 1 day and 4 days house arrest; he reduced my fines by $2,000; my interlock requirement went from 18 months to a potential 6 months; one of the biggest things he did was push the suspension paperwork so I could retain my license and continue working and avoid very expensive SR-22 insurance. Definitely would recommend Aaron for your criminal and DUI defense.

I found Aaron by looking at Aavo web site. I looked for an attorney that had recent reviews and good positive feedback. My son had a car accident, hitting an undercover cop and then failing the field sobriety test. His blood work came back in at slightly above .08. However we had an independent test done right after the police blood test and Aaron was able to hire an expert to give us the testimony we would need at trial that my son's independent blood test was below a .08.
This was enough for Aaron to negotiate a plea deal of reckless driving instead of the DUI. This saved us quite a bit, including avoiding the ignition interlock, and the additional insurance.
